| Pool Schedule Change: Barrhead Blue Fins Swim Club Season Starting September 21 through October 31, 2026, Barrhead Regional Aquatic Centre's competition pool will have limited public access Monday - Thursday to make room for Swim Club training: 5:00 - 6:00 PM: 3 lanes open to the public 6:00 - 7:00 PM: Competition pool closed to the public The leisure pool, lazy river, steam room, and hot tub all remain open as usual during this time. New public swim schedule - starts Sunday, November 1, 2026 Starting November 1, public swim at the Barrhead Regional Aquatic Centre moves to set times. The pool will be closed to public swimming during:
The weekday 12:00 – 2:30 p.m. closure also applies on school breaks and PD days. On statutory holidays, public swim runs 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. Weekend hours are not changing. This replaces the fall schedule shared in September, when three lanes were open to public swim from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Why the schedule is changing Currently, public swim runs at the same time as school groups, lessons and swim club training. During these times, much of the pool is taken up by organized groups, public swimmers have less room, and it’s hard to know what you’ll find when you arrive. Set public swim times mean that when you come to swim, the space is set aside for you. What this means for you There will be fewer public swim hours during the week than there are now. Public swim is still offered every day of the week, including early mornings, late mornings, afternoons and evenings on weekdays, and afternoons on weekends. - When the pool is closed to public swim, the whole facility is closed to the public, including the hot tub, steam room, lazy river and leisure pool.
- The weekday 12:00–2:30 p.m. closure also applies on school breaks and PD days.
- On statutory holidays, public swim runs 12:00–4:00 p.m.
- Thursday Aquafit (12:00–12:45 p.m.) is for Aquafit participants only. Drop-in is $8.75 for adults and $6.40 for seniors, and passes are accepted.
- Weekend hours have not changed.
