POSITION: CASUAL LIFE GUARD
summary:
The Barrhead Regional Aquatics Centre is looking for new lifeguards to join our team! Working with the Aquatic Supervisor, Head Guard, and Team Leads successful candidates will be required to provide great public relations, quality lifeguarding, facility maintenance, public education and provide first aid as needed. This position monitors patron safety and prevents drownings for individuals using the aquatics centre.
duties & responsibilities
- Monitoring patron safety, in and around the pool area, including the deck and changerooms
- Preventing injury by enforcing the rules of the Aquatics Centre.
- Providing customer service and assisting patrons in the Aquatics Centre.
- Keeping the facility clean as per AHS standards.
- Assisting in the maintenance of water quality practices.
- Providing first aid to injured patrons.
skills & attributes
- Friendly and customer service focused.
- Minimum 15 years old.
education & experience
- Certification courses provided by the Lifesaving Society Curriculum required.
- Standard First Aid with CPR-C & AED
- Must provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- National Lifeguard Certification
- Must participate in all lifeguard training provided by the Aquatics Centre as well as independently train to keep skills up-to-date.
hours of work:
This position will include working daytime, evening, weekend, and stat holidays as required.
salary:
Starting at $19.51 per hour
