The Town of Barrhead Council is the legislative body that represents our community. Council is responsible for creating and reviewing policies and programs in efforts to better the community as a whole. Our Council works in the interest of the municipality by making decisions for local issues and services.
Council is made up of seven members, one mayor and six councilors. These individuals were elected in the 2021 election and will serve our town for four years.

OFFICE CLOSURE TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM
The Town Office will be closed from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23. Please plan your visit accordingly. Bill payments can be made in person, online, or over the phone with your local institution or via our Virtual Town Hall Portal. We appreciate your understanding.
ROAD CLOSURE | PORTION OF 49 STREET SERVICE ROAD
UPDATE: The closure will be extended to April 22
ORIGINAL: A portion of the 49 St (Hwy 33) service road will be closed in front of 6001 49 St from April 1 - April 15.
This closure will facilitate utility line construction for a new business. Obey signage in place. Find alternate routes.
