SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY - MAY 14

SPRING CLEAN UP DAY

may 14, 2024 - one day only

Do you have large old appliances or furniture that you need to get out of the garage?  Let us help!  For ONE DAY ONLY, our garbage collection team will be taking away your large household items!  Items can be placed outside starting Saturday, May 11, 2024.

All items must be placed outside your building, closest to the curb, by 8:00 a.m. Tuesday May 14.  DO NOT place items on the sidewalk or road.  There will be NO alley pick up.

Each resident can place, curbside:

  • Household items only
  • Electronics
  • 3 - 4 large appliances/furniture per household
  • 6 - 8 large bags with a maximum weight of 55 lb/bag
  • Branches cut into 4' lengths and bundled with twine

Following rules apply:

  • All appliances MUST have doors/lids removed and Freon or other refrigerants recovered and tagged with a regulatory sticker by a certified refrigeration specialist
  • No demolition or construction materials (e.g., wood, concrete, cabinets, etc.)
  • No commercial/industrial waste
  • No large tires (i.e., tractor tires)
  • No compost (e.g., grass, food waste, dirt, rocks, etc.)
  • No oils, hydrocarbons, antifreeze or other toxic materials/substances and no automotive parts
  • No tree stumps
  • No overly large items (e.g., car body parts, garage doors, etc.)
  • No biological waste (e.g., human/animal waste and diapers, etc.)
  • No stock piles of goods - any large piles will only have a reasonable amount loaded.
  • All items must be contained and not left loose

Items left curbside that do not adhere to the rules will not be collected. It is up to the owner to remove these items from the curb.  Failure to do so may result in ticketing and fines.

PLEASE NOTE if items in your area are not collected on May 14, please leave them out as they will be collected in the following days. Collection will depend on the volume of items left curbside around town.  Please be patient with us.

Items will not be picked up if placed outside after collection has taken place in your area.
