RECEPTION CENTRE FOR SWAN HILLS RESIDENTS

BARRHEAD BUSINESSES AND RESIDENTS, if you are looking to donate items to assist evacuees, we are looking for the following items (NEW and UNOPENED):
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Toothbrushes & toothpaste
  • Feminine Hygiene products (all sizes and types)
  • Individually packaged Yogurt
  • Milk
  • Juice boxes
  • Store-bought eggs (cannot be uninspected farm eggs)
  • Coffee grounds
Items can be dropped off at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street) daily between 8 am and 8 pm.

The registration centre remains open today at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street) for Swan Hills evacuees who have not yet registered. If you have evacuated to somewhere other than Barrhead, it is important that you register your evacuation status. Please call 825-977-4382 or 825-977-1462

Evacuees requiring medication or other personal items can make a request at the Reception Centre in the Barrhead Agrena at 5607 47 Street. For more information, please visit the reception centre.

Meals will be served to evacuees at the Barrhead Agrena on May 17.  Lunch will be served at noon and supper at 6 pm.

Our registration centre and phone lines remain open.  Please be persistent and keep calling if lines are busy.  

Registration centre is located at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street). If you are not coming to Barrhead, register your evacuation by calling 825-977-4382 or 825-977-1462.

Evacuees must register with the registration centre and accommodation must be assigned to receive coverage/compensation. Any bookings made directly by evacuees will not be covered. Please ensure that you register at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street) or by calling 825-977-4382 or 825-977-1462. If phone lines are busy, keep trying.

Supper will be provided for evacuees at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street) at 6:30 pm.

Although we understand the kind sentiments behind making food for evacuees, Alberta Health requires that all food prepared for public consumption follow strict guidelines. Therefore, the reception centre cannot accept donated meals prepared in home kitchens. If you would like to help, non-perishable food donations made to the Barrhead and District FCSS Society are always welcome.

The Town of Swan Hills has ordered a mandatory evacuation. Evacuees are required to report to the reception centre at the Barrhead Agrena (5607 47 Street, Barrhead).

If you have left Swan Hills and are not traveling to the reception centre, call 825-977-4382 or 825-977-1462 to report your evacuation status. Lines may be busy due to the number of evacuees.  Keep trying if lines are busy.
