ORIGINAL POST

With rising temperatures, our water supply is under significant strain. To manage demand and replenish our water reserves, we are enacting the following measures:

  • Bulk Water Station Closure: The Bulk Water Station is closed until further notice.
  • Water Usage Restrictions: Please minimize non-essential water use, such as lawn watering, car washing, and filling pools.

WHAT WATER RESTRICTIONS ARE IN PLACE?

Outdoor Daytime Sprinkler Use

Year-round municipally supplied water from a hose, pipe, sprinkler or permanent irrigation system is permitted only between the hours of 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. Watering in the early morning most reduces water loss due to evaporation and maximizes benefits to grass and other plants.

Exceptions to the Water Restrictions

  • Using a watering can, hose with a nozzle or a drip irrigation system control the amount of water used and do not waste excess water.
  • We understand the increasing temperatures mean that everyone is getting hot and understand the need for recreational use of sprinklers and water toys at any time.
  • Water restrictions do not apply to newly laid sod and seeded lawns.
  • Water restrictions do not apply to other landscaping when there is a risk that a new tree, shrub, or another type of vegetation will perish.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure a sustainable water supply for all residents. Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical matter.
