TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURT PROJECT - AUGUST 2026
status: courts closed from august 1 | reopening early to mid september (weather permitting).
The courts located at the northeast corner of the Pembina Hills School Grounds are closed while we reconfigure the site.
what's changing:
- Two of the three tennis courts are being resurfaced to extend their life.
- The third court is being converted into four new pickleball courts.
- Fencing is being installed.
When we reopen, the site will have two resurfaced tennis courts and four new pickleball courts.
Why: Pickleball demand has grown steadily. One tennis court's footprint accommodates four pickleball courts, so the same space serves more players.
Timeline: Work begins August 1 and is expected to take about four weeks (weather permitting). Outdoor resurfacing depends on dry, warm weather - continued wet conditions may delay reopening.
