WATER USE RESTRICTION LIFTED - BARR MANOR REMAINS RESTRICTED

Effective June 22, the Town of Barrhead has lifted the water use restriction issued on June 21 due to excessive strain on the wastewater and stormwater system caused by recent heavy rainfall. Normal water use has resumed for all residents and businesses, with one exception:

barr manor restriction remains in effect

Boundary: 49 Street (Highway 33) to 60 Street, and 53 Avenue to 60 Avenue

Reason: The wastewater system in this area is still working to manage the volume of water flowing through, and continued reduced use is needed to allow stabilization.

Expected duration: Under regular review; this notice will be updated as conditions change.

If you live in this zone, avoid:

  • Long showers
  • Dishwasher use
  • Washing machine use
  • Extended or continued tap use

Permitted:

  • Flushing toilets
  • Brief showers
  • Brief or intermittent tap use

For everyone else: normal water use resumes immediately. No further action is required.
