POSITION: CASUAL AQUAFIT INSTRUCTOR

Summary: 

Are you outgoing, fun and love teaching fitness programs? We're looking for energetic aquafit instructors to teach fitness classes in the water at the Barrhead Regional Aquatics Centre.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide class participants with a variety of movements in the water in sequences designed to increase fitness.
• Prepare lesson equipment before classes and clean up after class.
• Ensure safety of the participants through active supervision and planning a proper warm-up and cool down.

Skills & Attributes:

• Customer service focused, friendly, welcoming and inclusive to new and regular participants.
• Well-organized, reliable, prepared with a plan.
• Organize appropriate music to play from your phone with the classes you teach, catering to the class and providing variety of music suitable for fitness classes.

Hours of Work:         

This position will include working daytime, and evening hours.

Qualifications:

• Hold successfully completed aquafit training from a recognized certification program such as AFLCA, Waterart or CALA.
• Experience conducting fitness classes to include fun and upbeat experiences for patrons catering to different group needs.
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C.

Salary:

Range of pay is $19.51-$26.00 per hour based on a 2-hour minimum shift that includes any lesson planning, set up and take down of equipment and clean up from class(es) taught. Shift will always include a minimum of 15 minutes set up and 15 minutes take down time before and after scheduled class times.
