2018 Summer Construction Projects

The weather is warm, the ground is dry, and now comes our favourite season: Construction Season! Well it might not be a favourite but it is definitely an important one. It's that time where we rehabilitate roads, sidewalks, and underground infrastructure to keep your services running smoothly.

The two main road rehabilitation projects for 2018 are:

  • 57 Avenue: This will be the first of two projects. This project will run roughly from June through mid July, weather permitting. Some closures will be required as work progresses.
  • 50 Avenue: As 57 Avenue nears completion, this project will get underway at the beginning of July, weather permitting. This is a large scale project that involves the road, the sidewalks, and the infrastructure underneath such as sewer and water. Access to this area will be limited including parking.
Sidewalk Projects: We have new sidewalks going in around the bowling alley and many additional sidewalks are receiving full rehabilitation. This includes complete removal, replacement, and curb work.

To help the contractor complete their work as efficiently and as safely as possible, we respectfully request that you be aware of all construction signs, keep clear from excavations and moving equipment, and obey flag persons and detour signage.

If you have an infrastructure or maintenance issue, be sure to let us know by Reporting a Concern.
